TAXi is a dynamic advertising agency with new west coast headquarters in Vancouver B.C. The two story, 7,500 square foot tenant improvement of a bank is a study in opposing forces; solid versus transparent, old versus new, public versus private, intended to inspire creativity and collaboration among co-workers. The space features existing raw concrete structural columns that are intentionally left exposed in order to counter- balance the pristine glass and painted white surfaces. A large illuminated glass partition carrying the companies’ logo sits just inside the entrance providing a street presence while respecting the historic nature of the exterior.
